I finally found a healthy dessert!!!!!! I’ve been sticking close to my diet and I did some research on delicious, yet healthy desserts. My obsession with avocados and my random cravings for sweet food led me to this delicious chocolate avocado pudding recipe!!!!
I’m a big lover of sweets such as chocolates, cheesecakes, cupcakes, cookies, crepes, candy… well, I’d pretty much eat anything that is covered or made of sugar! I have a sweet tooth and because of that it was difficult for me to lose weight. During the first weeks of my diet, reducing my sugar intake was so difficult!! HOW THE HELL IS A GIRL SUPPOSE TO STOP EATING NUTELLA AND CHEESECAKES AND COOKIES AND CREPES AND CUPCAKES?!?! But for the sake of my health and fitness, I lessened eating these sinful foods. (I still consume cheesecakes and all the good “stuff”, just in moderation).
BUT – we all deserve a treat once in awhile… even when on a diet! Even better, treating ourselves to something delicious AND healthy is the best way to go! WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, here’s how you can satisfy your sweet cravings in a low calorie content way:
Chocolate Avocado Pudding
–2 large RIPE avocados (~234 calories per 1 avocado)
–6 tbsp unsweetened raw cocoa powder (Hershey’s Cocoa – 10 calories per 1 tbsp)
–5 tbsp pure maple syrup (100 calories per 2 tbsp)
–¼ cup skim milk OR almond milk OR coconut milk ( I used skim milk – 90 calories per 1 cup)
–1 tsp vanilla (12 calories per 1 tsp)
–1 tbsp chia seeds (70 calories per 1 tbsp)
Per Serving: ~276 calories (without the optional toppings)
Serves roughly 2 people per recipe.
–1 large banana or strawberries (I picked banana: 121 calories per 1 large banana)
–Dark chocolate chips (Hershey’s Chipits, pure semi-sweet chocolate chips – 70 calories per 1 tbsp)
Now… here’s the easy part! After gathering ALL your ingredients, all there is left to do is to mix everything together in a bowl!!! Your chocolate avocado pudding should be mixed until creamy and smooth like this:
Chill your chocolate avocado pudding in the fridge for 30 minutes before indulging!! ENJOY!!
